Tapcon Concrete Screws

To determine the correct length of Tapcon® concrete screw for a specific proejct, add the thickness of the material to be attached (A) to the embedment into the base material (B). It is recommended that a minimum of 1” and a maximum of
1-3/4” embedment are used. It is also very important that the hole be drilled a minimum of ¼” deeper than the embedment of the screw. This allows space for the concrete dust that is created by the threads cutting into the base material.
